Francesca Fossati - Poetry in Art that makes every woman unique

Francesca Fossati – La poesia nell’Arte che rende unica ogni donna

A fashion design? No, she is much more than that. Francesca is first and foremost an artist who has deeply loved tailoring and embroidery techniques and then magically combines them into a single thread. An artful doing that together with her particular sensitivity allows her to interpret her 'muses' by bringing out the essence of their souls.
Her passion for fashion was born with her and she learnt many tailoring techniques from her grandmother who stimulated her creativity even more and she decided to pursue art studies that gave her a deep insight into the history of art in all its essences.

She loves the world of craftsmanship related to haute couture, in particular, she devotes herself to the historiographic research behind the creative project and decides to delve into embroidery techniques.
But there's more, in Francesca Fossati's research embroidery becomes the substantial and structural element to retrace the history of decoration starting from Art Deco, the highest expression of decorativism, passing through Bauhaus, when decoration gave way to a geometric and rational vision up to a futuristic perspective with cold, almost glacial colours, but with a strong visual impact.

A synaesthetic research that includes design, historical and formal research, great manual skill and two important collaborations: with Elisabeth Roulleau, one of the most skilled embroiderers on an international level who boasts twenty years of experience in Haute Embroiedere at maisons such as Chanel and teacher of this art at the prestigious Saint Martin's in London, and with Nadia Nava, fabric designer for Prada, John Galliano and Vuitton who, working hand in hand with Francesca Fossati, has made her manual knowledge available to design fabrics that would enhance embroidery to the utmost.

The uniqueness and quality of Manufatto Artigiano are the cornerstones of Francesca's art. Born in the north but in love with southern Italy, especially white Ostuni, so her creations cannot but have all the warmth and flavours of that Italian spirit that symbolises joy, lightness and passion.
From the holiday flavour of Mediterranean colours to the Nordic austerity of noble perfume, Francesca Fossati tells of the uniqueness represented by every woman with exclusivity, the highest quality and the decisive force of passion.
