"No two will ever be the same!"With this sentence, Paolo Dubla, a young and experienced luthier passionate about the art of designing, building and restoring musical instruments, welcomes us into his studio. Paolo, intrigued and attracted by the craft of making instruments ever since he was a boy, attended an established craftsman's workshop and then decided to undertake the famous Parma school of violin making for stringed instruments, coveted throughout the world. Paolo Dubla specialised in the absolutely handcrafted production of violins, violas, violas d'amore, cellos and double basses, both modern and baroque, of interest especially to professionals in Italy and abroad.
The fascination of Italian violin making is certainly to be found in the choice of the highest quality woods, in the rigour and technical precision, but above all in the spontaneous individuality and originality that makes an instrument unique and unrepeatable. Being a luthier is a complex craft that is based on the laws of acoustic physics, but it is also the art of knowing how to translate musicians' feelings into a technical language. A magical combination of traditionpassion, study and dedication closely intertwined with the poetry of sounds and harmonies. Italy is the undisputed world capital of fine violin making... Dubla is one of its best interpreters!
But it is also possible to buy those already made, so please send us an e-mail:
